Whata-aftermath

Hmmm. So that burger was okay. Nothing spectacular. I guess I'd pumped it up over such a long time into some supernaturally flavor-filled memory that I longed to experience again. It was a burger. I think I might be past red meat. Gasp you say? Yeah, I agree. I think they might take away my red-blooded italian male card. To think, in two weeks I'll be with my fellow neapolitans in Orlando for a week. I cringe to think what will happen when I sit at a table surrounded by italians and announce that I don't do red meat any longer. I'm sure someone will slap me in the side of the head while loudly declaring "Shaddup and eat your Mamma's sausage-wrapped meatballs in gravy (Pasta sauce to you unfamiliar with that context)so she don't cry!".

Red meat on occasion is good for you, especially if it's lean. Don't insult your mamma! Cheers. So what has been your weight loss program? Did you make it up and just be sensible or did you follow a published diet?

Well, I tried the South Beach Diet because you'd said it worked so well for you, but it just turned out to be too precise. I'd get a headache when trying to put together a shopping list. So I decided to follow some simple guidelines: No saturated fat, low carbs, NO fried, cut down on the red meat (if any at all), no sugar, etc. All that coupled with walking 5 to 6 times a week for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes when I felt like it made quite a difference. 35 more pounds and I'll be at my "Ideal Weight", which I disagree with. I think I'll be skin and bones. So maybe 25 to 30 pounds is my goal. That's all I did Miss Sarah! Oh...that and Liposuction. Ha! Just kidding! Seriously though, forget all that other bunk. Just the lipo is all.
